The sunset.
There are moments that never leave our minds. The most beautiful thing about them is that they leave us with remarkable lessons. Lessons that help us grow, shine, and flourish. Speaking from experience, life is a collection of both remarkable and forgotten memories.
We cannot choose which memories last the longest, but we do
experience their lasting effects. You cannot simply say, "I will remember
this day for a whole year, but yesterday for only a month." Instead, the
emotional impact decides everything. How you felt during those specific moments
automatically determines how long you will carry them within yourself, and how
deeply you will revisit that experience.
Whether an experience is good or bad, the time you spend
reflecting on it corresponds directly to the depth it holds. This brings us to
the question: "What is in it for me?" The answers provide a thousand
reasons that mark the difference in how these moments shape our worth.
In life, much of what happens reflects the choices we have
made. Yet, it is the unexpected contrasts that make life so beautifully
unpredictable. Ultimately, every experience comes with a package of value,
shaping us in either a direct or indirect way. In this way, fleeting moments
create lasting memories that deeply impact who we become.
You can’t just move miles towards the sun to feel it more, but use the perfect timing to use it effectively. Thus, looking forward creates moments that sharpen values, thus better life.
